Emma

Head Coach

I have been involved in Artistic Swimming for nearly 15 years. I joined Dacorum Artistic Swimming Club in 2012 as a swimmer and fell in love with this amazing sport.  During my time as an Artistic Swimmer I went on to win multiple medals at regional level and a silver medal at National Combo Cup. After a short break, I returned in 2020 to combine my enthusiasm for the sport as-well as my passion for teaching and became a coach.  And most recently, I achieved my Artistic Swimming Figure Grade 5.

In 2023, I took on the role of Head Coach, and since then I have worked hard to create a friendly yet competitive environment where swimmers of all abilities can learn, compete, and enjoy a unique sport. I have taken a range of teams to regional and national competitions over the years of which we have been very successful, winning a range of gold medal medals in figures, solos, duets, and team routines!  I won the East Region Artistic Swimming Development Coach of the year in 2024 and was shortlisted for the National Award.

My favourite part about coaching Artistic Swimming is seeing the smiles on swimmers faces after they have performed!

Synchro is a massive part of my life and if you were to ask what I’m doing on evenings or weekends, my most likely answer would be: “synchro coaching”.

Maddie

I have been a part of Dacorum Artistic Swimming Club since I was about ten years old. Having always loved being in the water and dancing, Artistic Swimming was perfect for me!

Throughout my time at Dacorum I competed at numerous East Regional competition and the National Combo Cup competition.  However, I am now most interested in coaching.  I coach the 15&Under team and have choreographed their recent routine which lead them to win gold at the East Regional competition in March 2026.

I have found my passion in being an Artistic Swimming Coach at Dacorum.  My favourite part of being a coach is seeing how the swimmers come together to support each other and then see their achievements.

Suzanne

I started off as a volunteer poolside helper in Dacorum many years ago whilst my children were members of the club. In 2021 I became an artistic swimming assistant coach and the following year became a judge for competitions at national level. I assist mainly U12 swimmers practice towards figures and routine grades, I enjoy seeing their progression through lots of practice!

Negin Ghazale

After competing in artistic swimming throughout my youth, I took a 18 year long break before returning in 2025 as a master. Rediscovering my love and passion for the sport motivated me to become a coach and inspire the next generation.

My favourite part of coaching is helping swimmers discover and express their creativity, and inspiring them to reach their potential. This sport continues to shape my life, and my dedication is reflected in training three times a week to return to my best

Zoe

I’ve been participating in Artistic Swimming for 9 years and began coaching the seahorses in the water confidence pool in 2025.  I love the sport so much, and getting to pass on my knowledge and teach younger children is very fulfilling.  Watching them learn, improve and have fun in the water is always so rewarding!

Lilia

Coaching the Masters (adult group) is so fulfilling. I used to compete at national level, and returning to the sport I love in my adult life always felt impossible. Creating a safe space for fun, discovery and effort is amazing. Teaching to develop new skills, build confidence in one of the most difficult sport and evidence how proud swimmers are of their achievements is very rewarding.  If you want to try something new or even compete, it’s all possible at the club, there’s no age or gender limit!
